Welcome to the Reffley Wood web site!

Reffley Wood consists of 130 acres of semi-ancient woodland, owned and managed by the Woodland Trust. It is situated in King’s Lynn and is often referred to as a ‘hidden gem’. It was bought by the Trust with donations from local residents and the Heritage Lottery Fund.

In January 2009 the Woodland Trust appointed local community artist, Nicola Marray-Woods, to run twice monthly events in the wood until December 2010. This has now been extended to the end of 2012. One of the aims of the Heritage Lottery Funded project was to set up a volunteer group which will be able to carry on beyond 2010 so Nicola is actively looking for people who would like to be involved in the planning, organising, publicising or leading of events. You can contact her by clicking on Contact Us above.

The Reffley Wood Volunteer Group is a small band of people who care about the wood and are interested in maintaining and improving the site. New volunteers are always welcome to any of the events.
